Dishonor on your cow! 

In this episode we take a nostalgia filled trip back to ancient China with Disney’s Mulan. Originally released in 1998, this iconic Disney classic tells the story of Hua Mulan, a Chinese folk hero who dressed as a man and went to war to protect her aging father. 

Remade in 2020, the live action reboot turns Hua Mulan into an acrobatic bad ass destined for greatness, but gives everyone’s favorite dragon the cold shoulder. 

Lack of Mushu aside, the only thing these two movies seem to have in common is Walt’s signature on the title card, and that’s good enough for us, so let’s get down to business.
